For the opening of the Nutricia Research Centre in Utrecht, BlueLuna was asked to create a tailor-made show. The client was looking to emphasise the unique qualities of the premises: transparency, stimulating collaboration, and bringing together research and production.
In order to work effectively with the architectural possibilities of the atrium space, our opening act was designed ‘around’ the space. Various disciplines – singing, mime, percussion, breakdance, and freerunning – were integrated into one whole. And to think this all came from a lab experiment…
The audience could follow everything, on rotating chairs.
“Thank you for the brilliant show, that you made with all these different artists. We had lots of positive feedback on the day itself as well as later. Everything worked, the energy levels were high and the curtain fell perfectly! Fantastic.”
